Leaves turn brown and the plant withers and dies. Spreads slowly to other plants. Daisies are affected first. No insects are present. The garden is in full sun and watered regularly and fertilized. Could this be a fungus in the soil?

So I have ants and not termite-unequal wing lengths and a petiole (defined abdomen and thorax). Do I need to be concerned that they are living in the voids near the foundation and concrete slabs? They obviously excavate the soil out of these areas. I've seen the piles of sand left on the driveway. Thanks again.

I have had some trouble with ants along my sidewalk and driveway edges 
and maybe just a few in the yard two years or so - progressively getting
worse each year.  Now this morning my front yard has probably a hundred or so newly dug ant hill mounds.  (It has been dry and we did get some nice rain in the last two days, so maybe that has something to do with it.  The yard is stressed some due to lack of moisture and a thorough thatching I did about a month ago.)

I do not know what type of ants they are.  They are very small, about as small as I have seen. 

Really no problems in our house or garage with the ants.  Just in the yard and has grown to
a bit of an infestation.

PLEASE HELP!

We have very, very tiny black ants in kitchen, can't find where coming in.  Have sprayed, put out pellets, they don't go away.  They are concentrated in and around kitchen sink.  Sink is sealed around perimeter.  I  have wondered if they could be coming from drain.  They show up during the night and there are lots of them in the morning in sink and on top of cabinet near sink.  Hard to kill, so small they don't even smash.  First used Windex on them, then have tried 2 kinds of ant killer without success.  Now have stoppers in drains, but don't know.  Husband also sprayed outside as close as possible to edge of siding.  Have deck next to house, so can't get lower than decking.  Help with suggestions if you can.  They haven't seemed to necessarily gravitate towards sugar in area.

The title pretty much says it all. First I noticed some wood shavings on the floor, then a few days ago I saw them come out of the cracks in the ceiling and around the window. Some have wings and other don't. I'm vacuuming them up, but who knows how many are in there? I'd prefer to treat them without using chemicals, but the war has begun and I intend to win! I took some photos too, but the best shows both the winged and nonwinged versions together. Thanks in advance for your help. I'm in Eugene by the way. Sincerely, Don Latarski

I have black ants, many of them with wings in my house, especially in the kitchen. I have never had this type of ant before. I am worried that it may be some type of termite or carpenter ant. Is there somewhere that I can take some of them for identification? I have sent a picture of it. It is a little sticky from honey we used to try to make it stand still.

We have what are called " odorous ants". We are constantly fighting a battle to keep them out of our upstairs and downstairs bathrooms as well as the kitchen. We have a pest company that we must call to come out at least once every week or every other week. We are not the only ones in our neighborhood to have this problem. Besides what a pest control company can do is there anything else that you can suggest trying.
