170 plants in a formal boxwood garden #166686

What could be the most likey cause for a stand of boxwoods to commpletey fail in one season. They were doing well until last summer. 3-4 year old plants. all plants died in succession.

Look at vole damage, root rots, canker diseases, poor planting techniques, etc.
Also, there is a new disease of boxwood called boxwood blight that you should be aware of. See our website for more information http://extension.umd.edu/hgic/invasives/boxwood-blight This may be a possibility if new boxwood plants were introduced into the landscape.
