My apple tree has some dead branches, but on other branches the leaves look like their curled up and real small. There is some red dots on some of the leaves. Any idea what to spray them with?

It is quite possible the tree was damaged by the winter. The symptoms you describe sound like winter injury. Where are you located? Did the tree have a big crop of apples last year which could have stressed the tree and made it weaker going into winter. We are seeing winter injury especially in older apple trees.
