What do you spray in March to prevent or get rid of apple scabs. My neighbor said the OSU extension service use to recommend lime sulphur spray in March and then a second treatment 2 weeks later.

Apple scab overwinters in the leaves on the ground so anything you can do to rid of those will help. As for sprays, the apples are not susceptible until green tissue comes out of the buds. That is when the first application can go out and then at regular intervals (like every 2 weeks) while it is still raining in the spring. Lime sulfur is difficult to find in small packaging these days. But there are others you can find. Look for the products that have an "H" in the box to indicate home packaging at the following web site:
