Hello, My name is McKenzi Waliczek and I am with the Lake St. Clair (LSC) Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) in Macomb and St. Clair counties. The Lake St. Clair CISMA was contacted by a landowner in Casco Township, St. Clair County about a Gypsy Moth issue. They have a dense infestation and are interested in controlling the moths next season. Just at ground level, they removed over 2 gallons of eggs for the trees in 15 acres and can see more egg masses higher in the trees. I heard of a Gypsy Moth treatment program and was hoping to gain additional information about this program and any other potential treatments programs / funding opportunities. Any information would be greatly appreciated, especially if the state or local municipalities are planning to cover localized spraying programs in 2021. Thank you, McKenzi Waliczek

Been finding these creatures around my house. They are very small about the size of a pin head. They seem to be found after taking of clothes. We live in the country around farming and animals. They are other times black in color, do not appear to be moving, and definitely look like they have eyes and a mouth. Thanks for any help Jennifer

Hello, I don’t know if you answer questions about house plants but I have two baby PPP plants that have been showing signs of some sort of leaf decay. The leaves are developing translucent spots that turn to mush when touched. I’m not sure what it is and I don’t know what to do about it but I don’t want it to spread to other plants if it’s something bad. Someone said it might be bacterial soft rot? If it is, is there anything I can do that doesn’t require destroying the plants?

For the past couple years, my hydrangeas have started out beautiful and by summers end get brown/black spots on the leaves -- then the leaves fall off. I tried to cut back the infected areas and applied a fungicide a couple times, but the spots and leave drop have come back the past 2 years. These are old plants -- very beautiful at one point, i'd hate to lose them. I'm sorry I don't have a pic of the fungus -- they use to be covered with blossoms -- which are not as abundant as they use to be. Thanks for any information that can help with this problem.

What is the best way to eradicate a mole or moles on a residential front lawn?

I am doing research in an unrelated field and I am curious how a goat's body condition score is affected during their mating cycles. I have read that during the rutting season, body condition scores decline because of increase hormonal activity and agitation. Also, this decline in body condition score is observed in a decrease in hair quality. Also, I am curious if the natural decline in score could be exacerbated among goats that live in hostile climates. Logic suggests so...

Looking for a quality source for ~100 apple/cheery trees. Struggling a bit on my own to locate them. Currently have 50 or so and looking to expand this spring. Thank you in advance!
