Trying to find Thalictrum "Elin" seed #678976

I watch a program called Gardener's World and I see that many gardeners in the UK grow a plant called Thalictrum "Elin". It looks like this might be hardy to zone 5 and with the micro-climate in my backyard I am thinking maybe it could be zone 5 conditions. But I can't find any information on the this plant in the U.S. - or where I could get seed or plants. I'd like to to try it - but can't source it. I am wondering if there is any way to source this plant. Bryan

Good evening, I have 124 Limelight Hydrangeas in my yard (it's a big yard)...they are 8 years old and I've pruned them every winter...they bloom profusely and are in great shape. My question is can I skip a year pruning them and if so how might that impact them? Thank you and I look forward to your reply - Greg My planting zone is SE Ohio

Do you have a neighborhood-naturalist program? WE live in Frederick County. Emmitsburg is more correct. We have been hearing owl calls and today our neighbor alerted us to a sighting. I also saw a bald eagle today. We would like help with starting a journal and learning more about birds. We would like to build an owl house. It is a great horned owl in the daylight at 3:30 p.m.

Irrigation and frost prevention #678967

I want to direct sow flower seeds in a 50'x150' area. I want to get them in the ground as early as possible which means I will be risking a late frost. If I know I frost is coming what is the best (easiest, cheapest, reliable) method to do this? I was thinking of how orchards use irrigation. Any advice or thoughts? Thank you.

Kentucky Blue Grass 31 #678966

The following grass seed article from the MSU Extension Service https://www.canr.msu.edu/resources/establishing_a_new_lawn_using_seed_e2910 says "Do not purchase mixtures with pasture grasses such as Kentucky-31 tall, annual ryegrass or Linn perennial ryegrass for lawn use". The article does not explain why. That is my question. When searching Kentucky Blue Grass at Home Depot I see mixes of "KY 31 Fescue Grass Seed" and I want to know why it is not recommended.

I have 2 large cacti that I can no longer continue to care for as they have grown too big to be kept being moved in and out. Does anyone take these on, and would they be able to pick up? I’d hate to just trash them. Thank you
